NASU indroduces Voodoo as the protest takes a strange dimension

Non-Accademic Staff of University [OAU chapter ] protests took a different turn today 22 June 2016, as members of the Union barricaded all entries leading to the Halls of residence and Staff quarters. Consequently, a voodoo was found on the entrance of the Senate building in the early hours of the day believed to have been placed by NASU.

NASU who started their protest originally against the non-payment of allowances intensified their protest after the announcement of the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Citadel of learning. NASU accused the appointment of Professor Ayobami Salami as illegal. Professor Salami whose appointment was announced to the public on 17th of June 2016 by the Registrar of the citadel was countered by NASU as they named the process of his appointment non-constitutional. NASU subsequently file suit at the Federal High Court sitting in Osun to challenge the appointment.  The Court subsequently declared the appointment as non-constitutional.

       Things are presume to take a more dramatic look come tomorrow as today's protest look isn't the usual NASU protest. Announcement has been made on Orisun FM in Osun state by the OAU management to the fresh students on campus to vacate the Halls of residence on or before 12 pm tomorrow, 23 June and  consequently  resumption of the stale students postponed indefinitely.
